Painting Soon Hopefully

Well it's been 7 weeks since injuring my left index finger. Obviously the emergency room doctor was off on his 3 week healing prognosis! At this time I have a 'bump' on the end of my finger and the surface skin has no feeling. You should have seen me try to sew on a button the other day! Had to use my middle finger so I could feel what I was doing. The last few days I've noticed the bump not to be tender and am even starting to use my index finger for typing. Yay! So plans are to start painting soon! What a lesson in patience this has been. I am so thankful for those who prayed for complete healing and restoration - the Lord is answering!

Now my next hurdle to paint again has been a week long cold - only to find out after finally seeing the doctor yesterday that I have a sinus infection and bronchitis! How do you get that in the summer time?! Not much energy to do anything, let alone paint. I trust the precribed meds will deal quickly with the infection.

My watercolorist friend, Bev Stych, and I will be doing a two-person show in October so painting soon is a must! Hopefully real soon as preparation for a show involves a lot of work!

Wishing you a light-filled summer,

So glad you're healing, Nancy. Sorry about the bronchitis, etc., but it sounds like you still need to rest and practice patience. I know you're anxious to get back to work, tho. But hope you're enjoying your summer in other ways!

Wow - I didn't know this about you. Is that the touch of sadness I always felt?

Blessings as you pursue the dreams HE's given you!
