Ball Jars Take on the Light Sneak Peak

Here is a sneak peak of another original acrylic painting, "Ball Jars Take on the Light", that will be in my October Art Show. Maybe I should say "The Light Took on the Jars". Almost sounds like a fight! But it's obvious the Ball Jars like being bathed in the light so I think all is okay.
Canning jars remind me of my grandmother who had the Atlas E-Z Seal Lightening jars which used glass lids and a metal clamp. She passed away years ago at age 96 but I took a few of her jars as keepsakes. Lightening canning jars were first developed in 1882 while Ball jars came into use around 1886. Did you know until 1858 canning jars involved use of a glass jar, a tin flat lid, and sealing wax? These were not reusable and messy. Here is an interesting link giving a brief history of Home Canning Jars.
There's going to be a lot of light at this show! And the jars will help display its impact.
Take on the light,
Nancy
