Jack Solos are not singing Hit the Road Jack

"Hit the Road Jack"! Not these jacks! But I tell you what Ray Charles knows how to get Jack to hit the road. Click the link above to an early take on his toe-tappin' song.

So back to these little Jack Solos. They are from my childhood Ball and Jack collection!
These jacks actually reside along with a few other jacks in a very soft small buckskin colored leather pouch with a leather drawstring. The pouch is quite old as I bought it around age four during a family vacation to Yellowstone Park.

Sadly the little rubber ball that originally went with my jacks has long since lost its bounce. You know what? Come to think of it I've lost some of my 'bounce' too! Oh the pleasures of old age!
Who would'a thought that little 'ol jacks could put on such a shadow display? Never would have noticed that way back when. Gosh, maybe that's one of the benefits of getting older - my perspective changes and enlarges. Seeing those little things can sure spice up life. Hmm, a light thought.
