Well I'm excited to report that my painting, "Morning Door Geranium", has been accepted in the 21st Annual National Oil & Acrylic Painters' Society national exhibit!

Over 600 entries were received from oil and acrylic artists across the USA and Canada. Eighty two artists were selected for NOAPS 2011 'Best of America' Exhibit.

The Opening Reception is September 11th at the Dunnegan Gallery of Fine  Art in Bolivar, MO with the exhibit continuing through October 28, 2011.

By the way I captured this potted geranium next to the back side door of our garage. Aren't those shadows on the door and floor  something else! Amazing what an impact of light can do - even in the morning.  Hmm, reminds me of these lyrics to the song - "wake up, wake up you sleepyhead, get up get out of bed" - remember that song? Doris Day does it well!

Gosh, to think I could have missed those shadows if I'd slept in! Here's to early morning light experiences.
