Artist Carol R. Thompson Chosen by Nancy Teague for "Artists Choosing Artists" at The Burkholder Project

The Burkholder Project uses the month of January each year to have its resident artists select outside artists with whom to exhibit side by side.

This year I am delighted to have Carol R. Thompson as my guest artist.

Carol does engagingly serene, elegant, and sometimes humorous still lives. Her striking artwork can be seen at her website, here.

Recently she stretched beyond her still lives and did a wide open landscape. I love the  simplicity of her composition in "Orange Truck". The vastness with 'two passing'  expresses an interesting mixture of loneliness, endurance, and beauty.

The piece I will be showing alongside Carol's is my new painting, "Transport". Hey, they are talking about similar things!
