Nancy Teague Excited To Be In Mark Arts Abstract National Invitational 2018

What an honor to be in the Mark Arts "Abstract National Invitational 2018", in Wichita, KS!

My piece, "Gaining A New Perspective", was chosen along with other wonderful works from four hundred entries.

What makes it extra special is showing in their new twelve million dollar art center. What a building! As you can see the landscaping is still developing.

The Opening Reception was Friday, April 13th. Great turn out and lots of wonderful abstracts to enjoy.

How fun to watch art patrons study my work!

Jerry McLaughlin of Oakland, CA, the juror for the exhibition, gave an inspirational and insightful talk, particularly about his journey in becoming an artist. He is widely known for his cold wax art works. McLaughlin co-authored, with Rebecca Crowell, Cold Wax Medium: Techniques, Concepts & Conversations.

And to document that I was there. ;- )

The Abstract National Invitational, at Mark Arts, is on display from April 13 - July 7, 2018. The Mark Arts center is open 10am - 5pm Monday through Saturday. Admission is free.

If you are in the area, it's sure worth seeing!
